I remember Mr. Tanis as a lovely man who made a wonderful barbequed supper for Marty Leach, his son Ken and myself back in the 60's, when we were kids in high school. His wife is a lovely person also. I met the lovely man again when his son passed. My heartfelt condolences.....to his wife and girls and son, Ken.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in the family. Jeff and I have such great memories of working with Walt on Saturdays mornings when were young, and seeing Walt at Sparta Sand & Gravel where my father Walter worked. He was a hard worker, and loved his family so very much. We will all miss him. Our deepest sympathy to all.

So sorry to hear of Walt's passing. It was wonderful to be your neighbors while growing up on the farm and staying in touch over the years. Walt brought many fond memories while growing up - especially his and Jack's school bus he parked down at the pond for us kids when we would go ice skating. R.I.P. Walt.
