I work at Good Samaritan & like so many others, was blessed to know Allen. Last summer we shared stories about how our tomato plants were doing. I told him I'd read that lack of calcium was the cause of our blossom end rot and that putting Tums in the soil was supposed to help. He kind of looked at me for a minute, then said " What do you think?" I told him I put the Tums in my dirt! He looked at me for a minute again (what I called 'the Allen eye') and said "Got anymore Tums?" Next day we put Tums in his dirt and chatted about North Dakota. What an easy person to be around. I'll miss you Allen. Make sure Jesus gives you a good plot for your beefsteaks! Godspeed Allen.

To Allen Family, My condolences. I am one of the nurses from Good Sam. And I have known Allen for many years. He and I loved to talk Zags basketball. We would have great conversation surrounding the games. We were also friendly rivals regarding our college football teams. Me, a die hard Eastern Washington fan and him, a North Dakota fan... After games I would come to work the next morning and he'd be watching for me to have our morning conversation... I am truly going to miss him. He was a wonderful man. Sounds Silly but I am so glad he got to see the Zags win the WCC the night before he passed away... and it was a game he would have approved of! Now he has the best seat in the house to watch the games. God bless you dear friend. And to his family, may your memories bring you tears of joy. God bless, Mary Shelton
