

After graduating from Mead High School, Colleen married and moved to California, where she lived for years and started her family. She returned to Spokane, WA, and began a career at Valley General Hospital and then Darigold. After retiring from Darigold she worked as a caregiver and finally retired at 85.
Along with her passion for gardening, Colleen enjoyed crafting and traveled in Washington State as a craft vendor for many years. She also enjoyed baking and was well known for her delicious cinnamon rolls. Colleen was devoted to her children, grandchildren, and cat companion, Black Kitty.
Colleen was preceded in death by her parents, Jason and Vernice Cook, her stepmother, Genevieve Cook, her sisters, Kathy Weiner and Ella Brown, her daughter, Janice Courtney, and daughter-in-law, Nora Cargile.
She is survived by her brother, James (Jim) Cook, and by her daughters, Kim Wagner, Kellie Olson (Kerry), Patti Brogan, Kathi Brogan, sons, Dale Cargile (Jessica) and John Cargile,16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 11th, at Hazen and Jaeger. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to SpokAnimal.
