Audrey Ruth Maxwell

On Sunday, April 23rd, 2023, Audrey Ruth Maxwell, 93, peacefully slipped away from us in her own home, in her own bed, with her daughter lying by her side. She was the very last of her siblings to go, and was so looking forward to being with them again.

Audrey was born in St. John, North Dakota, on October 4th, 1929. Then, when she was young, her family of 6 sisters and 2 brothers, with mom and dad, moved to Spokane. The settled in the valley where her father and oldest brother did carpentry work, and built houses.

Audrey was a beautiful lady inside and out. She left behind a daughter, Lorraine, and her husband Dan Van Valkinburgh, her son Larry Pittman was deceased. She was extremely close to her grandchildren Angel and her husband Kevin Talbott, Ryan Haskell and his wife Chene, Bonita Harris, Mary and her husband Anthony Colon, and Jimmy Pittman. Also great-grandchildren, Andrew Wickstrom and wife Cassandra, Trevor, and Tylor Thelen and his wife Katie, Kyra and her husband Jaquan, and Logan and Braden Haskell, plus many more great-great grandkids.

She lived a long and wonderful life and we are all better people for knowing her.
