

Bessie Mae Nance passed away at her home on April 14th, 2010 at the age of 91. Mom was born January 20th, 1919 in Cavendish, Idaho. She later moved to Spokane, WA, where she met and married her High School sweetheart and the love of her life Clell C.C. Nance on August 24th, 1935. Bessie later worked at Armour Meat Packing Company till her retirement. Mom and Dad then pursued their life long dream in the sport of horse racing. While training and racing at tracks such as Playfair, Spokane, WA and Longacres in Seattle, WA and more. Bessie brought a lot of love and smiles to everyone she met, she was considered and called Mom and Grandma to everyone she met that knew her. Bessie was the beautiful mother of four daughters who loved her and will miss her so very much. Mom brought so much into each of our lives. She was preceded in death by her dear husband Clell, her loving grandson Shawn Lee Ray Wharton, Son –in-law Bob Cole, her parents Warner and Emma Daniels and grandson Tommy Gow, Jr. three sisters and one brother. Bessie is survived by her daughters Darlene Cole of Post Falls, ID; Gloria and Wayne Marsh; Dixie and Wayne Clapper all of Spokane; and Belinda and Jerry Fisher of Fitzhugh , OK; five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren , four great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom will truly be missed in our lives, but is now back in the loving arms of our dear father, and all of our family in heaven, where we will all rejoice and be together again someday. We love you so much Mom. Special thanks to cousin Beverly for all the help and support. There will be a visitation on Monday, April 19, 2010 from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm at the Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 North Pines Road, Spokane Valley, WA, with a funeral service to held in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday, April 20. 2010 at 2:00 pm, interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
