

Surrounded by his family, Chet passed away peacefully on January 22, 2011 in Spokane, Washington. Chester was born on August 27, 1915 in Peach, Washington to Charles and Nona Widener. Chet served in the United States Navy and then at Consolidated Aircraft during WWII. He retired from Georgia Pacific Corporation. Chet enjoyed sports, fishing, gardening and traveling. He had extensive knowledge of the Spokane Valley and his recordings are on record at the Spokane Valley Heritage Museum. Chet was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Irene; brothers Edward and Donald; sisters, Jean, Marguerite and Maxine. He is survived by his brother, Ray (Wilma) Widener of El Cajon, California; children, Linda (Jim) Ramsey, Dale Widener, Jim (Leila) Adams, Bob (Shirley) Adams and George (Tammy) Adams; grandchildren, Loreen Adams, Alicia Ramsey, Renni (Don) Doney, Linda (Tim) Wohlers, Janice (Oren) Tupper, Joe (Crysta) Ward, Heather Ramsey, Joshua (Bre) Ramsey; numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended families. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 28, 2011 and on Saturday, January 29, 2011 from 12:00PM to 4:00PM at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Road, Spokane Valley, WA.
