

DANIEL SILEO, JR. of Spokane, WA, formerly of Stamford, went from his daughter's hand to God's on January 30, 2011 at the age of 81. He was born on June 22, 1927 in Stamford, CT. He was best known for his boxing career in the 50’s and for the passion he put into the hundreds of poems and songs he wrote throughout his lifetime. He worked for Stamford Polishing and Plating Co. with several of his brothers as a truck driver. He was the son of the late Donato and Carmella Guglielmo Sileo. He is predeceased by his wife, Lucy Sileo and his two sons, Daniel and James Sileo. Mr. Sileo is survived by a daughter, Michelle Sileo-Petrilli, husband, Frank Petrilli, two grandchildren, Nicole and Frank Petrilli, all of Spokane, WA; daughter-in-law Crystal Roberts, granddaughter Heather Garrett and grandchildren Brian and Isabella Garrett of Georgia. He is also survived by one sister, Rosalie Barrett of Port St. Lucie, FL. He is predeceased by eight brothers, Rocco, Frank, Vito (Bill), James, Dominick, Michael, Anthony (Pro), Annunziato (Dutch) and two sisters Nellie Cianciulli and Gertrude Sileo.
