

Davis was born in Lafayette, LA, attended school, played football and graduated from Acadiana High. After graduation he volunteered for service in the United States Marine Corps. He and his fellow 1st Battalion 7th Regiment Marines stationed at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms went on to serve three tours in Iraq.
Upon receiving an Honorable Discharge, he returned to Lafayette then moved to Spokane in 2019 to seek other opportunities. He was recently hired at Mann-Grandstaff Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center providing food services for in-house veteran care. Davis enjoyed working with his teammates was very proud to support the VA’s mission of veteran's care.
Davis enjoyed living in Spokane. He liked being outdoors in all seasons, whether biking, riding his longboard, or walking by the river. He cherished his cat, “Beep”, was witty, confident, cantankerous and devoted to his brothers-in-arms. He wrote and told fascinating stories – his online posts could be entertaining or enrage all of social media.
Davis is survived by his father, David Edwin White, who resides in Lafayette, LA. Davis was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Marie Zima White, of Lafayette, LA; his brother Andrew James “Jake” White, of Mandeville, LA; paternal grandparents Edwin and Bulah White, of Jena, LA; and maternal grandparents Richard and Donna Zima, of St Stephen, MN. Davis is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and fellow Marines from across the United States.
A memorial service is scheduled for Davis on June 4th, in the Mann-Grandstaff Medical Center’s Chapel for his VA teammates, with a Marine Corps League Military Farewell ceremony immediately following on the hospital entrance patio. Times and further details will follow.
Internment services will take place beginning at 10 am on Saturday, June 14th at Big Creek Cemetery in Pollock, LA. Davis will be resting with many family members who have gone on before.
