Dennis C. Hatch passed away peacefully on November 29, 2023. He was born on December 18, 1946 to Don and Lavon Hatch at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane. He was the eldest son of three boys. He graduated from East Valley High School in 1965. As a family, they loved to go to Priest Lake, Idaho on the weekends to enjoy the cabin, boating, skiing, parasailing and just enjoy life.
After marrying his high school sweetheart in 1968, they had three wonderful daughters – Dawn, Teresa and Kimberly. He enjoyed the legacy of taking his children to Priest Lake on the weekends when he wasn’t working. As his children grew up and left the nest, he enjoyed visiting Dawn on her adventures around the country with her hospitality career, was very proud of Teresa who spent 23 years in the Air Force and was excited for Kim as she began her new position teaching in the Gonzaga University Nursing Program.
Dennis had a 30-year and one day career as a firefighter for the Spokane Valley Fire Department. At the same time, he was in the Air National Guard in the reserves for 20 years.
Dennis was a dedicated son to his parents up until the end and loved his best furry-friend Benji. He had a special relationship with everyone he knew. He liked to joke and make people laugh. He’d also do anything for those he loved and cared for.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Donald C. and Lavon E. Hatch. He is survived by his brothers Randy Hatch and Steve Hatch. His daughters, Dawn Hatch (Mark), Teresa Hatch (Bonnie) and Kim Cline (Jason). His grandchildren Kristen Bradford, Owen and Wyatt Cline, and his great-grandchildren Oliver, Makenah, Greyson and Isabella Bradford.
The family will be having a funeral at the Pines Cemetery Mausoleum, 1402 S. Pines Rd, Spokane Valley, WA 99206 on December 8, 2023. Viewing will be from 11:00am-11:30am.
