She is survived by her daughter, Leona Williams. Her grandchildren, Lori, Darrel, Lonie, Wanita, Leah Anne, and Shawn. Her great grandchildren, Austin, McKayla, Alissa, Collin, Riley, Sierra, Faryn, and Brielle. Her great, great grandchildren, Christopher, Lucas, and Paisley. And many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Eillen, as she preferred to be called, lived a life of love, family and faith. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Was at home in the kitchen, but also worked full-time through her adult life. She lived in many different places, from the town of her birth in Adams until finally ending up in Spokane, WA where, with her husband, she settled on a house where people would meet for coffee, Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas, Birthdays, graduation photo sessions, the Fourth of July, and so on. Her home always had an open door where everyone was welcome.
One of her favorite Bible verses was Psalms 119:105, 'Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.' KJV
The 'word' which shows a person's duty towards everyone around them and their duty to God. The lamp that exposes us for the sinners we are and our need for God's word. God's word being the light that illuminates the only way to righteousness. And all of this only being possible because of our love for God and God's love for us. Which highlights another of her favorite Bible verses...
Matthew 22:36-40, "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hand on these two commandments."
