The Anderson Family-
Art graciously gave me my first job at 15 being a "lot boy" at his Subaru dealership. What a great experience to get to see the energy and enthusiasm he went about his day, EVERY day.  
Luckily, I got to become even closer friends with Art and Eldora later, as he always supported local business, and would visit my restaurant weekly for many years.  
Later, meeting for coffee or lunch while on car-hunting trips, I got even luckier to hear his stories of the farm, tanks, hunting and family.
We will miss him, and I will always cherish the memories.

I had the high honor of meeting Art and escorting him on his Honor Flight in 2010.  I've never forgotten him or his stories which he told so humbly.  None of the vets I've met accept the title, but he's one of my true heroes.  Thank you, my friend!

The Washington State Veterans Cemetery extends our deepest sympathies to the family of Einar A. Anderson for your loss.  We honor him for the service and sacrifice he has made for our nation, he is a true hero.

I'll never forget the red underwear worn at the Mobil Gas station during the holidays.  What a happy place, the "Boat Dock".   Also, my Uncle Bob Coffey felt a certain camaraderie with Art as a fellow vet.  Bob bought several cars from Anderson Motors over the years as well.  Bless them both.

We lived one block north of Art's station on Trent and Stout. Loved talking with Art. What a great guy! My condolances to all.

Dear Marcia, Craig and Curto,
I am so sorry to hear of Art's passing.  The grand generation is finally united in heaven.  I grew up surrounded by stories of the Anderson family adventures, successes and values.  My parents thought of Art and Eldora as the "best of the best friends" even though they were separated by many miles. There was something about having developed this friendship during tough times that made it endure.  I remember Art's gas station in the Valley, how hard both he and your Mom worked; those were the days when they filled the tank, swept out the floors in the front seat and checked under the hood.  I remember your beautiful homes and your Mom's graciousness in greeting us when we visited Spokane.  Art even convinced my Mom to let me waterski; no small feat. Art was instrumental in bringing about my enduring love affair with Subaru wagons.  I am never without one.
There will never again be such amazing people; I'm glad that both Art and Eldora were a part of my life.
