James Robert Honeywell

Dr. James R Honeywell, 75, of Spokane, WA passed away on August 18, 2020. James was born on November 13, 1944 in Chicago, IL, to Edward and Lucille Honeywell. He graduated from College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO with a degree in Doctor of Osteopathy. In 1972, he moved to California, MO and started Honeywell/Canter Medical practice. He worked for more than 42 years as a doctor serving patients in Mid-Missouri.

James married Sylvia in 1970 and the couple had two children together. He was a generous and kind man who enjoyed taking care of people for the majority of his life. James enjoyed his family, especially his grandkids, farming, sports and the company of his wife. His family and friends will always remember him as a kind-hearted man who always tried to help his family, friends, and neighbors.

James is survived by his wife Sylvia, his son Michael and his daughter Allyson. He is also survived by six granddaughters and the spouses of his children. He is preceded in death by his father Edward and mother Lucille Honeywell. The family would like to thank friends, family, neighbors, doctors, caregivers and the religious for their love and support.
