Age 66
Jean I. Harris, born October 6, 1946 in Guthrie Center, Iowa to Marvin and Ruth (Hughes) VanSickler, passed away on June 13, 2013.
Jean was a Surgical Scheduler at Deaconess Hospital, and in 2012, retired after 40 years. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Theresa Marie.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Sonya (Matt) Weaver, who live in Anchorage, AK; grandson, M. Kegan Lucas, Seattle, WA; sisters, R. Elaine (Gerald) Peterson, Lind, WA; M. Kathy (George) Gillis, Spokane Valley, WA; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Jean will be greatly missed by all who loved her, worked with her, and those whom she helped. Jean was a kind person and was generous to a fault. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Hospice of Spokane, 121 S. Arthur St., Spokane, WA 99202.
A reception will be held at the Moezy Inn Tavern, 2723 N. Monroe St., Spokane, WA on Friday, June 28, 2013 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm
