

Jimmy Dale Ziegler was born November 19, 1933 in St. Joseph, Missouri. He was the eighth child born to Fritz and Ella Ziegler. He graduated from North Central High School in Spokane. He enlisted in the Army, serving during the Korean conflict. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a brakeman for thirty-five years. He married Margie in 1964. They pursued their shared interests in antiques and collectibles. They operated stores in several locations throughout the years and traveled to West Coast Markets as well. Jim was a lifetime member of the Orchard Masonic Lodge #200 and El Katif Shriners. He traveled to Hong Kong, Europe and Canada. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Louis Ziegler, Mary Rhoades, Ruth McMackin, Fred Ziegler, Esther McCauley, Pearl Frost, Earl Ziegler and Donnie Ziegler. He is survived by his wife, Margie; his son, Steve Skarphol; his brother, Lee Ziegler; and twenty-two nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will take place on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 2pm at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA.
