John was born on July 26th, 1957, in Plymouth, Indiana to David William Campbell and Elizabeth Ann Dooling. John grew up in Charlotte, NC with three brothers and one sister. At age 19 he joined the Marine Corps. After four proud years serving our country, he moved to the pacific northwest. He lived in Washington state for over 20 years where he helped raise his family and was a respected member of the automotive industry. After retirement he moved to Arizona to soak up the sun and escape cold weather.
John was described as kind-hearted, gentle, fun, devout, loving, caring, a little stubborn and a friend to all. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, ability to have a good time-even later in life, and most of all for his huge heart. John was known for taking his Yorkie pup everywhere with him. Together they enjoyed spending time with family and friends, riding motorcycles, fishing, watching the show Gunsmoke, driving British cars, listening to James Taylor, and testing their luck at the casino.
John was survived by a brother Kevin, daughter Tracy, son Chris, daughter-in-law Amanda and five grandchildren: Emma, Reggie, Carter, Adalee, and Burklee. There will be a memorial service and viewing to celebrate his life on June 11th, 2023, from 1PM-3PM at Diamond & Son’s Funeral Chapel in Bullhead City, AZ. A second memorial and viewing service will be held in Spokane, WA at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home on June 24th, 2023, from 2PM-4:30PM.
