Juanita May Mellom

Juanita May Mellom was born in Yakima, Washington on April 5, 1934. She passed away peacefully and was called to heaven at the age of 90 on July 16, 2024 at MultiCare Valley Hospital in Spokane Valley, Washington.

Juanita was preceded in death by her mother Vivian Bowen, father Felix Melero, her husband Gordon Mellom and ex-husband Theodore Urban, her brothers David Melero, Bill Splawn, Benn Splawn, her sisters Felicia Melero Holtzinger, Deanie Splawn Conrad and her son Eric Urban. She is survived by her sister Dolly Splawn, her children Mike (Tina) Urban, Ted (Sherry) Urban, Allen (Lori) Urban, and her stepchildren Ken (Johanna) Mellom, Doug Mellom and Shyla Mellom Lacock, as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Juanita was known for being a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She loved the simple things in life and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed and hold a special place in all our hearts.

No funeral service will be held. The family will be holding a private memorial service in Juanita’s honor at the Grandview Cemetery in Grandview, Washington on August 17, 2024.
