Kathy Shirley Shook

In loving memory of Kathy Shook who passed away unexpectedly on February 6th, 2024, leaving her family and friends enveloped in profound sorrow. Born on May 29, 1943, in Hawthorne California, Kathy's journey was one filled with love, laughter, and boundless generosity.

Kathy is survived by her children Karen Richardson, Kim Thomas, Kelly Colby, Terry Shook, Patrick Shook. Forever remembered by her siblings Shirley Barton, Dorathy Thate, Robert Leingang, brother-in-law Dave Shook and her 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will cherish their memories of her for a lifetime.

Kathy was predeceased by her parents, Nick and Amelia Leingang, her one in a million husband Donald Shook and is now reunited with her loved ones in the eternal kingdom in heaven.

Kathy was a breast cancer survivor for over a decade and very supportive of cancer fundraising events. She will be remembered as a fun spirited person who was loved by many, she always had a gift for being kind and generous with everyone she encountered. Her magnetic personality drew people to her, and her home was always filled with laughter and joy as she entertained her extensive circle of friends and family. Known for her kind heart and boundless generosity, she had a knack for brightening any room with her infectious smile.

Kathy made an impact on so many lives and will be forever missed. Until we meet again.

The Service will be held on Friday, February 16th, at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home 1306 N Pines Rd. Spokane Valley, WA 99206 from 1:00-3:00 PM. Reception following at the Iron Horse Bar and Grill located at 11105 E. Sprague, Spokane Valley.
