Lyle Stanley Beach, 83, went home on June 21st, 2026. Lyle was born in Bellingham, WA on October 18th, 1942 to Dale and Frieda Beach. He was the fourth of five children. The Beach family moved to Spokane Valley, WA when Lyle was 9 years old. He attended school in the West Valley School District, graduating with his high school sweetheart, Linda Wilson in 1961. Lyle and Linda were married in October of the same year and started a family. Lyle worked for 44 years at Spokane Steel Foundry, retiring as a Master Molder.
The Beach home was the center of family life. Lyle and Linda hosted all manner of family gatherings. More than one visitor during Lyle’s hospice journey noted the love felt in their home. Lyle had a fantastic, yet quiet, sense of humor. He was often described as the “baby whisperer” when quieting a fussy baby. He was a capable mechanic, carpenter, and handyman. When any of his family or friends needed help with car troubles or a home project, Lyle would say, “come on over. We’ll figure something out.” This meant that he knew exactly what to do and that he was going to take the time to teach you how to do it yourself. Lyle was a kind, honest, hard-working man whose quiet influence was felt by many. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Frieda Beach, and his brother, Edward Beach. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Linda Beach, his children Ben (Laurie) Beach, Kathleen (Tim Coski) Beach, and Monica (Jeff) McMurtery, his grandchildren Zach Beach, Grace Beach, Krystal Swenson, Kaytlyn (Bradin) Giglio, Kara (Ike) Bircher, Jamie McMurtery, and great-grandchildren Lukas Swenson, Lyle Swenson, Lane Swenson, McKenna Bircher, Oliver Bircher, and Emily Bircher. Lyle is also survived by his siblings Duane Beach, Ronald Beach, and Judy (Harry) Cupp.
The family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Horizon Hospice for the incredible care and compassion they provided over the past year.
Please join us to celebrate Lyle’s life on Saturday, August 29th at 2 pm at Opportunity Presbyterian Church, 202 N. Pines. In lieu of flowers the family asks you to check the air in your tires, read a book to a child, and spend more time with your family and friends.
