Marjorie "Margie" M. Schmaltz

Margie was born in Hague, North Dakota May 31, 1927, she passed away Tuesday Nov. 1, 2011 in Spokane, Washington. Margie was a member of The St. John Vianney Altar Society. She loved creating gifts for her grandchildren. She also liked to bake which the whole family got to enjoy. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. Margie was preceded in death by her daughter Marie Schmaltz, her parents Jacob and Barbara Schall, her sister Bernice Orfield and her brother Ambrose Schall and her great-grandson Allen Schmaltz. She is survived by her husband of 66 years Lloyd A. Schmaltz, her children Jim and Barb Schmaltz, Rod and Val Schmaltz, Carol and Wally Draper, David and CeCe Schmaltz, Ron and Vicki Schmaltz, Barb and Mike Devine, Rick and Adele Schmaltz, 26 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and her brothers Victor and Paul Schall. There will be a visitation on Friday Nov. 4, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 pm, with the Rosary service held at 6:00 pm at Thornhill Valley Chapel 1400 S. Pines Rd. Spokane Valley, WA. The Funeral Mass will be held Saturday Nov. 5, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church 503 N. Walnut Rd. Spokane Valley, WA. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
