Mark Francis Lorang

Mark spent his working career as a power lineman, a profession that reflected his strength, work ethic, and willingness to take on difficult work for the benefit of others. Outside of work, he enjoyed spending time outdoors and watching hockey, but above all, Mark’s greatest joy came from time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Mark was the kind of man who helped whenever and however he could. Whether someone needed a place to stay for a week, a month, or even years, financial help during a difficult time, or simply someone who would sit and listen, Mark was there. He rarely thought of himself first and earned the respect of nearly everyone he met. His steady presence, generosity, and willingness to listen made him not only a trusted friend and family member, but also a father figure or second father to several people whose lives he touched.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Lorang; his sons, Kyle Lorang (Kelly) and Jared Lorang (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Jaelynn, Kinsley, Bexley, Levi, and Addilee; and his siblings, David (Bonnie), Stephen, Dennis, Mary (Gary), Teresa (Jim), and Nicholas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn; his mother, Dorothy; his brothers, Michael, Patrick (Barb), and John (Desiree); and his niece, Kelly (Aaron).

Mark will be remembered for his kindness, quiet strength, selflessness, and deep love for his family. His legacy lives on in the people he helped, the family he loved, and the many lives made better because he was part of them.
