Marty went home to his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 12, 2017 following an extended battle with ALS. Marshall William Morphy was born in Anchorage, Alaska. After the family moved to Valleyford, WA, Marty earned his Eagle Scout and graduated from Freeman High School. It was there he met and later married Debbie Davey. He attended and graduated from Eastern Washington University with a BA in Business and proudly served as a Captain in the United States Army. Marty was known for his keen sense of humor and enjoyed coaching youth in various sports. He was a man known for his steadfast faith, caring nature, and willingness to help others. He was an avid motorcycle and car enthusiast and a devoted family man. A beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandpa and friend. Marty is survived by his loving wife, Debbie, of 39 years; son, Bill (Jill) Morphy; daughters, Andrea Brown and Becca (Travis) Hollen; 4 grandchildren, William, Wyatt, Harrison and Henley; mother, Anita Morphy-Becker; 3 brothers, Steve, Mike and Paul; extended family and countless friends. A celebration of Marty’s life will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017, 1:00pm at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N Pines Rd, Spokane Valley, Washington 99206. He will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Rockford, WA.
