Mary Frances Boyer was born to David and Ina Taggart in Spokane, Wa. Mary graduated Colfax High School and attended Whitman College in 1945. She was proud of her career, working as an assistant to an Army general in post war Germany, and later working for and retiring from the Spokane County Library system. Mary lived most of her life in Spokane, but was fortunate to be able to travel throughout Europe with her husband and later enjoyed winters in Yuma, Az. She was fun loving with an incredible sense of humor and enjoyed a large circle of friends. Mary remained active throughout her life and loved to exercise, dance, cook and entertain. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Manford C. Boyer.
She is survived by her loving partner Victor Lee Hatfield, her son Rodney Boyer, her daughter Christine Bingham, three grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. There will be no service at her request. A private gathering of family will occur at a later date. Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to the Susan B. Komen foundation or Hospice.
