

Mary Carole Taylor of Spokane, Washington passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the age of 82. She was born November 30th of 1943, in Maryville, Missouri, but moved with her parents and 2 older sisters and younger brother to Washington State in 1951.
She graduated from Medical Lake High School in 1963, then shortly after moved to Wisconsin, where she met who would be her first and last husband, Robert Taylor.
She had several jobs she truly loved, but the ones she spoke of a lot were her time as a special needs monitor for Laidlaw School Buses, then her time working at St. Ann's as a Foster Grandparent. She absolutely loved working with kids, since she was never able to have her own.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harold & Roberta Griffey, sisters Phyllis Linhart, Wilma Ives, Victoria Griffey, brothers Lee & Tom Griffey, late husbands Pete Moses & Robert Taylor. She is survived by her younger sisters Paula (Phil) Utke, Patty (Lyle) Weaver, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to send a Thank You to Sacred Heart Hospital and the nursing staff on floors 6 & 7, for the absolutely amazing care they gave to Carole in her last days and the kindness they showed her family.
Family and Friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 18th, 2026 @ 11 AM at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home at 1306 N Pines Rd.
