Mavis May Michael, 91, passed away on December 23, 2020. Mavis was born on January 1, 1929 in Long Lake, SD to parents Edwin Klooz and Anna Klooz. She graduated from Rogers High School in Spokane, WA. Mavis married Harry Michael in 1947 and the couple had two children together. She was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church and was deeply involved in church activities for the majority of her life. Mavis enjoyed gardening, bowling, and sewing. Her family and friends will always remember her as a kind and giving person. Mavis is survived by her son David Michael and daughter-in-law Donna Michael of Everett, WA; her daughter Linda Barkley of Steelton, PA; and her two granddaughters Shanna Pennington of Spokane, WA and Elise Hoyer of Steelton, PA; her great grandson Nicholas Salyers who is currently serving in the Army. She is preceded in death by her husband Harry Michael. No funeral services will be held due to Covid-19. The family would like to thank Able Adult family home and Hospice of Spokane for their excellent care of Mavis.
