

Weick, Maxine Elaine (Lierman) passed away peacefully on January 3, 2012 at the age of 91. Maxine was born January 9, 1920 in Thornton, Idaho. Maxine grew up in Southern Idaho the only daughter of Herbert and Helen Lierman. Predeceased by her husband Herman H. Weick in 1977, she is survived by her sons, Dennis of Pocatello, Darrel (Colleen) of Fargo, N.D., and daughters, Sharon (Doug) Keith of Regina SK. Canada, and Beverly (Marv) Wheeler of Spokane Valley, WA, and 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Maxine married Herman on June 25, 1944 in Parma, and farmed for many years in the Notus area before moving to Yakima, WA, Regina, SK and Moorhead, MN. Maxine moved back to Idaho in 1982, residing in Coeur d’Alene until 2009, when she moved to Spokane Valley. Maxine lived a very full and rewarding life. She was a partner to Herman on the farm; she was a tremendous cook, and in later years, filled her days with knitting, crochet, ceramics and award-winning (at the State Fairs) embroidery. Her faith helped her deal with challenges in her life with grace and still had a sense of humor up to her final days. A graveside service to celebrate Maxine’s life will be held at 11:00am on January 9, 2012 at Cloverdale Memorial Park, 1200 N. Cloverdale Road, in Boise, ID.
