Phyllis June Jelderks

Phyllis, born on March 29, 1947, in the quaint town of Harrisburg, Illinois, gracefully concluded her earthly journey on September 8, 2026, surrounded by love and tranquility in a hospice home in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, compassion, and unwavering faith. The cherished daughter of Clarence and Nellie Gogue, Phyllis was a beacon of love and light to those around her. Predeceased by her parents, her brother Charles Jackson, her sister Brenda Boreman, and her beloved son Terry Jelderks, Phyllis' memory will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who knew her. Phyllis is survived by her loving sister, Doris Hoover, her devoted daughters Renee Hill and Rebecca Nedeau, and her caring son Charles Jelderks. She was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren and a great-grandmother to nine, each of whom brought immense joy and pride into her life. Her career spanned over two decades as a Customer Service Manager at the International Code Council, where her dedication and kindness left an indelible mark. Additionally, she shared her talents as a beautician, bringing beauty and confidence to those she served. Phyllis was deeply rooted in her faith. In Illinois, she was an active member of the Living Creek Christian Church, and upon moving to Colorado, she became a cherished member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her Christ-like compassion and kindness were evident in every aspect of her life, earning her the love and respect of many. An avid gardener, Phyllis found joy and peace in nurturing her plants, much like she nurtured her relationships with family and friends. Her garden was a testament to her love for nature and the beauty she found in life's simple pleasures. In honoring her life, Phyllis' family has chosen to hold a private ceremony, reflecting the personal and intimate nature of her journey. They extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Hospice of North Idaho for their tender care and support during her passing. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society - Breast Cancer Fund, a cause close to Phyllis' heart. Phyllis' life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and faith. She leaves behind a tapestry of memories that will forever be cherished by her family and friends, whose lives she touched in countless ways. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
