the way things hit us.
You know it's real, it's happened,
but our minds convince us
that the inevitable does not exist
and mortality cannot be true.
You wake up one day
so sure of how it will work out.
For me it was dance in the morning,
school during the day,
and dinner in the evening.
That's the way it should be right?
Then the world throws you
for the biggest loop
you cannot even fathom and from there
you're left wondering, "what is tomorrow?"
It seems impossible
yet it's how the world works;
there will always be a tomorrow,
whether it's the one we desire or not.
Yet it's our choice on how
we go about tomorrow.
It's a new day with new possibility and I
have come to learn
that concept from undoubtedly
the most magnificent man
to have blessed my life.
Rest blissfully Grandpa,
for I will take tomorrow
one minute at a time.
