

Born on June 9, 1935 in El Dorado, Kansas to parents, Richard Kellogg and Margaret Mitchell. Richard passed away on May 18, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. He married Shizue Kidokoro from Moji, Japan. They spent 48 years together before her untimely passing in 2009 and are now together for time and eternity. Richard retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of dedicated service in Southeast Asia and other locations around the world. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star, Vietnam Service Medal with one Silver and one Bronze Service Star, Good conduct Medal with four loops, AF Good conduct Medal with two Oak Leaf clusters, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm, AF Outstanding Unit Award with V device and three Oak Leaf Clusters, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, and AF Commendation Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster. He and Shizue are survived by their three children; Steve (Julie) Main, Cindy (Darin) Leeson and Eric (Renee) Main.
