Robert John Vogelman, 82, passed away on October 14, 2018, in Spokane Valley, WA. He was born and raised in Spokane, graduating from North Central High School in 1953. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications from WSU in 1958. Bob served in the US Coast Guard Reserves for 11 years, stationed in Spokane. He met Donna Eneberg while at WSU, and they were married in Spokane in 1958. They just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in July. Bob loved all kinds of music from gospel to jazz and classical. He played the tenor sax in dance bands and the bassoon in orchestra at North Central. Bob helped earn his way through WSU by playing with the “Pastels.” Following college, Bob worked for Texaco, Inc., as a sales representative, then for Reid Brothers Oil Company in Coeur D’Alene before retiring. Bob loved the Lord and was involved in many activities at Advent Lutheran and Valley Bible Church where he was presently a member. The lake home at Cave Bay on Coeur D’Alene Lake was where the family spent leisure time for 30 years, and he shared it with many others. Everyone knew about Bob’s unique sense of humor. It was part of everything he did. Bob is survived by his wife Donna, sons Stuart (Juleen), Lee (Yen), daughter Holly DesAutel (Shawn); grandchildren Emilee, Bennett, Daniel and Spencer; and one sister Judy Chester. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018, 11am, at Valley Bible Church, 3021 S Sullivan Rd, Spokane Valley, WA 99037.
