Our wonderful mother was born Roberta Lucille to Alexander and Lila May Stewart on September 8, 1929 in Santa Barbara, California, one of five children. She grew up during the Great Depression living at a mission in Reno, Nevada as her father ministered to the poor.
Her love of art drew her to an art college in Sacramento, California where she met Robert Gordon Tuvey who just returned from WWII. They married on April 17, 1948 and together had 3 daughters and 2 sons over the next 17 years.
The family moved to Bellevue, WA in 1962. She retired from Boeing where she worked as a Technical Illustrator after her children were grown.
Known as Bob and Bobbie, they moved to Spokane Washington in 1992 and owned a small farm by Rockford, Washington. They attended Valleyford Community Church before Bob passed away in 2008. Bobbie continued to reside at the farm before moving to Badger Lake near Cheney, Washington with her daughter, Barbara, in 2016.
She was a devote Christian, a faithful and loving mother to her children; grandmother to 8 children, and great grandmother to 9 children.
She now rejoices in Heaven with her husband of 60 years, and joins her parents, brothers, and numerous family and friends.
Roberta is survived by her brother, David Stewart, her children; Barbara Tuvey, Betty Milne, Russell Tuvey, Mary Wesselius, and Jon Tuvey, their spouses, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is sorely missed by all, loved by all, and will be remembered by all who knew her.
Psalm 23.
