Roger Allan Holmquist

Roger passed away peacefully on June 27, 2023. Born in the Silver Valley to Walt & Doris Holmquist, Roger (aka Golden Cub) loved all sports that North Idaho has to offer especially the ski slopes, golf courses and the beauty of Couer d'Alene Lake. After attending U of I, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta, he graduated from KBU in Spokane.

Roger retired from The Spokesman Review as a District Manager and split his time between Arizona & Eastern Washington. He is survived by his partner in life and loving wife of 43 years, Mary, along with great nephews and a great niece. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, sister (Cindy Doney), and nieces (Casey & Keri).

At his request, there will not be a memorial service, however, a private inurnment will be held at a later date. Roger's family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Spokane for their unlimited support.
