

Sara Elizabeth (Lib) Duffau, née Davis, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, chef and volunteer, left this world on May 1, 2025, at the age of 84, after a courageous battle with respiratory illness and congestive heart failure. Sara faced life with an infectious smile, friendly outgoing demeanor, thirst for adventure and a deep love for her church and family and a love of cooking.
Sara was born on February 4, 1941, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to Gerard McDermott and Hope McDermott, née Helmick. She graduated from Powhatan High School in 1959.
Sara is survived by her husband of 63 years, Paul V. Duffau Jr., children Paul, Ken and Hope; eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and brother Mark. She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings John (Johnny), John (Jack), John (Jeffrey), and Linda.
A celebration of Sara’s life will be held at All Souls Christian Church, Moscow, ID, on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by a light lunch. She requested bright and vibrant clothes to her service, showing her love and joy of life. All will deeply miss Sara’s kindness, wisdom and quick wit.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lewis and Clark Animal Shelter.
