

Steve was born in Sharon, N.D., on Dec 17, 1946 to Gerhard and Stella (Brekke) Storebo. He was raised and educated in Finley N.D., where he developed a lifelong love of football, basketball and baseball.
In 1966, Steve joined the United States Air Force & proudly served his country for 4 years.
In 1973, Steve married the love of his life, Pam Warren, and with that union he gained 2 sons, Ron and Jeff. Their daughter, Sarah Jeanne, completed the family in 1975!
Steve worked 25 years at Kaiser, where he formed lifelong friendships! The Kaiser crew gathered at the Longhorn BBQ for lunch, laughter & lottery tickets throughout the years. Steve also spent 10 years at PAML as a reagent prep tech.
Every Summer, Steve, Pam & family traveled home to North Dakota to visit family and friends! They volunteered for many years in Medora, where they made many new friendships throughout the years. Steve attended the Medora Musical every night - and every night he teared up during the song "Come Home To North Dakota". He also portrayed Theodore Roosevelt, a role he played with fun, enthusiasm and charm!
Some of Steve's favorite memories included a cross country train trip and exploring the country in their little red Volkswagen convertible, cruises to Alaska, Hawaii and Mexico!
A particularly meaningful experience was his honor flight to Washington D.C. accompanied by his grandson Parker, where he visited Arlington National Cemetery.
Steve will be remembered for his love of Bloomsday, flying kites, making Lefse and SPAM.
He took great joy in teaching his grandchildren to swim, dive, belly flop and making arm-pit fart noises - skills he considered essential!
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Pam; his sons Ron (Kristin) of Sandpoint, ID; Jeff (Tanya) of Spokane, WA; his daughter Sarah of Spokane, WA; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stella and Gerhard; brothers Gerald and Donald; and various other family members.
Steve lived a life full of humor, loyalty and love. His legacy lives on in the countless people he touched with his love, kindness, his stories and his unmistakable laugh.
