

Vera was born on July 20, 1936 at home in Spokane, Washington. She attended Orchard Center School and graduated from West Valley High School in 1955. After graduation, Vera briefly worked in a bank. In 1959 she found her calling in the culinary arts, where she worked as a professional chef until her retirement at the age of 65. After retirement, she spent her time reading, working crossword puzzles, cooking for her family and friends, and working in her flower garden.
Vera is survived by one sister, Linda Leigh (Boyce) of Spokane, WA; Her five children, Kenneth Wingett (Carey) of Topeka, KS, Allen Wingett (Dena) of Valleyford, WA, Susan Stowe (Dan) of Clermont, FL, Howard Wingett (Angie) of Spokane Valley, WA, Laurie Covella (Peter) of Sinking Springs, PA; Eleven grandchildren, eight great granddaughters, two great grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.
Vera was preceded in death by her parents William and Iola Rosenau, her twin brothers Lyle and Lester Rosenau, and her sister Verniece Anderson.
A visitation for Vera will be held Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N Pines Rd, Spokane Valley, WA 99206. A celebration of life will occur Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, 1306 N Pines Rd, Spokane Valley, WA 99206.
Interment immediately following at Pines Cemetery.
