

Ammer Gene Jordan was born in Houston,Texas November 26, 1936. She was the oldest of 7 children born to Idell and TL Hatter. Her Homegoing was on February 1, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Ammer moved to Spokane in 1960 with her two little girls, ages 2 and 3 on her hip and settled into a 3 bedroom house that sat on Arthur Street. She became a member of the New Hope Baptist Church right after her moving to Spokane. After many years of dedicated service to New Hope she was installed as Mother of the church in 1995. Mother Jordan loved taking care of people especially children and chose it as her profession as a caregiver. Over many years she took care of many people and children. Ammer is survived by her daughter Jerry Johnson, Gloria and Richard Sanford of Spokane, WA. Her Grandchildren: Tavia Johnson, Benny Johnson, Steve Johnson, Ammar Johnson all of Spokane. Her Great Grandchildren: LaDarius Johnson, Kiara Johnson, Zariah Whitsett, Kwame Qadir, Benny Johnson IV of Spokane, WA. Great Great Grandchildren: Khamiyah Hillard and Akira Lawson of Spokane, WA.
Her nieces: Teressa Hicks of Magnolia, Arkansas, Cynthia Jones of Texarkana , Arkansas, Janice-Ann Roberson of Houston, Texas: her nephews: Greg Hatter of Tucson, AZ, Shunn Johnson, Shunn Gest, Sevon Johnson, Taevon Johnson of Spokane, WA.
Mother Jordan was loved by her many friends and she was a surrogate mother and grandmother to many families. They included the Watkins Family, Lester Family, Davis Family, Washington Family, Browns Family, Everette Family, Robinson Family, Sumler Family, Brasch Family, Jones Family, Roberson Family and Mclellan family. She is proceeded in death by her parents and all of her brothers and sisters. The viewing will be at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home February 11, 2021 from 1-5pm, 5100 W. Wellesley Ave.
The funeral service will Friday, February 12, 2021 at 11:30 am at the New Hope Baptist Church, 9021 E. Boone Ave. Pastor James Watkins and Pastor Emeritus Happy Watkins will officiate
