Amy G. Hansen

Amy Grant Hansen passed away August 23, 2011 at the age of 89. She was born in Douglas, Wyoming. Amy was a gentle, caring woman who left warm fuzzes with everyone she met. She had a sharp wit and an impish sense of humor. In 1940 Amy met Oscar Hansen and married him on August 3, 1942. They left the ranch in Wyoming and bought a farm outside of Plains, Montana. Amy worked right alongside Oscar doing field work and farm chores. In 2001 Amy and Oscar moved to Spokane, WA to be nearer to their children. Amy and Oscar loved to dance. Amy also did volunteer work and crocheted numerous Afghans for gifts. Baking cookies was another enjoyment. Amy is survived by one sister, Bessie Hiser of Glenrock, Wyoming; five children, Jerry Hansen, Clare Arbogast, Ginger Ott, Marsha Hansen and Mark Hansen. Amy had a lot of people who lived her and will be forever missed. There are no services planned at this time. Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home 1306 N. Monroe is in charge of arrangements.
