Barbara was born to Ethel and John Cadwallader, February 16, 1937. Barbara was an only child but on August 15, 2017 was surrounded by many relatives and friends who loved her. She returned that love tenfold! After Graduating from North Central High School in 1958 she entered nursing school. She worked at Sacred Heart in the E.R. and other areas. She then went on to work at the Blood Bank where she retired after 27 years of dedicated service. Barbara loved many things, her music, singing, flowers, home, travel, family, friends and her pets, but above all she loved Christmas. Barbara sang at her church and with various groups. Since retirement she sang with the Project Joy “Minstrels” and the Sweet Adeline’s, performing twice a month at retirement homes in the Spokane area. Barbara also sang in various competitions across the U.S. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all of her friends and neighbors for being there for Barbara. Special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Cancer Treatment Center and Holy Family Hospital who helped Barbara through her troubled times. Visitation for Barbara will be held Thursday August 24, 2017 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest on Friday the 25th, 2:00pm at the Chattaroy Cemetery. A celebration of Barbara’s life will take place on Saturday August 26th, 2:00pm at Shiloh Hills Fellowship, 207 E Lincoln Rd, Spokane WA 99208. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Barbara’s name to the Spokane Cancer Society.
