

Bonnie Rebecca Kirkpatrick was born on May 12, 1952 in Spokane, Washington. She passed away on October 30, 2020, in the Spokane Valley. Her parents were Robert John Bartow and Almarose Bartow. Her siblings were Robert Kerry Bartow, Tamara Bartow, Gordon Cordway, and Jill Bloomfield. The family lived in Pullman until Bonnie was 7, when they moved to Spokane.
Bonnie graduated from Central Valley High School in 1971. She received her Associate of Arts degree from Spokane Falls Community College in 1973 and then her Associate of Applied Science in Practical Nursing from Spokane Community College in 1978. While in school, she met Ronald Michael ("Mike") Kirkpatrick. They were married on August 26, 1973; he passed away in 1983. Bonnie greatly missed Mike, but maintained a close relationship with his family and often spoke of their visits.
After she was widowed, Bonnie continued her education. She attended North Idaho College and graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1988. She started working in acute dialysis as an RN that year. She loved the job and doing it well, and was proud of her accomplishment of working for over 30 years serving patients at Sacred Heart/Fresenius. She retired in 2016.
Bonnie enjoyed needlepoint, swimming, reading, music, her cats, and spending time with friends and family. She had many friends, including some she knew for over 60 years, and enjoyed traveling and getting together with them. She also enjoyed game nights with her nieces and nephews.
Bonnie is survived by her brothers Robert Kerry Bartow and Gordon Cordway, her sister Jill Bloomfield, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Mike Kirkpatrick, her parents Robert John Bartow and Alamarose Bartow, and her sister Tamara Bartow.
Bonnie had an adventurous spirit, a warm, fun-loving personality, and a fun sense of humor. Her faithful service to others was one of her best traits. She will be missed by many.
