To Carla Hoime family, I am very very saddened to hear of her passing. I worked with her at the law school for many years. We had lots of great conversations. I will miss her. RIP lady! Condolences to the family especially her daughter Sarah!

Carla-- A physical human entity of
this Planet Earth living her life from Nov. 23, 1954 to March 8, 2022. A total of 67+ years. 
  Your memorial on Sunday, March 27th 2022 will be a toast and remembrance of your life and interactions with others. Some very specific, some in general. 
  Since everyone has their own perspective, the stories and interactions will vary from these perspectives and may not always agree -- that's no matter, it goes along with the old saying "that's my story and I'm sticking to it."
  So I start my perspective of my Sister Carla. With your 67years and my 74years, that was enough age difference so that we didn't have a lot of interactions together. You being more of an outgoing and sometimes an -- in your face person, probably from Dad's side. And me more introverted and reflective, probably from Mom's side. We had large gaps of interactions. 
  I went into the Military soon after H. School. You being in grade school. Then after your H.School graduation you left and became a California Girl. We just didn't get together as adults.
But, But -- Then Then many years later after being alone for several years, you decided to move back to Spokane. And thus our Travel Adventure -- The Move. It probably gave us our greatest bonding.
  The packing and getting things ready to go--probably a bit stressful.  The road trip however became a lifetime highlight for both of us. 
   Finding a motel that would allow cats seemed to be impossible and a bit shocking. So the decision to make a straight run was reluctantly made by both of us. 
    So with the nice, new Big Truck, everything packed to the gills by the professional loaders -- if not for them we might still be in Sacramento. We headed out early.
     We stopped once for a short rest. A few questions arose about fueling but we made it to Spokane  very late at night and very tired in one straight shot.
    Where I'm going with this is that  I was was really proud of you hanging in there without complaint

My dear sweet Carla, I will miss you so. You are true friend and I am so blessed to have spent time with you. I have so many wonderful memories I will cherish forever. I loved having you come to some of our family gathering, we all enjoyed and loved you. I love you my friend. Rest In Peace ❣️💞 Debbie 

Carla (aka Garlic) Goblick - My mind is like a tape rolling through the many years of memories with you & my sis (Debbie Douglas-aka Brownie Bear Butt) and all you Rogers Chicky's back in the 70's! I loved being the younger sis always trying to "hangout" with you fun girls! You were my most "fav" of all! How we laughed just a few weeks ago remembering how I re-did your bridesmaids dresses (those glowing green dresses) for my own wedding! Now I treasure these times! And sooooh many more!  I loved how you could bark and howl like a dog! You said the funniest things! You were so witty & that smile - Your magnetizing smile & contagious laugh will always make my heart smile! Funny as ever - yes you were, but deep, wise and a loyal friend - you were all that and more. You're the only one I've seen my sis roll her eyes at in laughter and at the same time with the deepest love of a friendship so special. Your sudden departure has left a huge "void" in our lives - yet you've given us a lifetime of memories that we will smile & tell fun stories about when the pain lessens someday. If you were lucky enough to know Carla for whatever amount of time - your world is better because she was in it. We Miss You Incredibly Hugely & Will Forever Miss You! We will miss you so much and never forget how you could always make us laugh whenever you were in the room or just talk  on the phone.  You may not be here physically, but will always be in our hearts and loved forever.  ♥️  Be sure to hug and kiss Mom and Dad and the rest of the family who are with you now who are now keeping you company from all of us.

Letter to Carla,
Dear Carla,  Words cannot express how very sad I am to hear of your passing.  We finally just reconnected a couple years ago. I am so grateful that you found me and reached out to reconnect.  Below is a  picture of you in our 6th grade class at Arlington.  Right below you is me and next to you is Alyson , another beloved friend who passed almost 2 years ago.  I hope you find each other in heaven and are laughing & happy.   We've been friend since 3rd grade and although we lost touch since graduation through our retirement, it means so much that we reconnected even briefly.  I deeply regret letting time go by and not keeping in touch during our lifetimes.  I have and always will remember all the joy, laughter and fun we had.  Just riding our bikes around.  I will forever cherish those memories of you and love you my friend.
Sincerest condolences to your family members and friends.  I'll see you again.
