

She graduated with honors from North Central high school in 1953, where she played Volleyball and was a member of the Red Feather marching group. Her grandmother Emma Larson encouraged Carol “Jeanie” to follow her dreams and pursue Nursing. She then attended college at Whitworth and graduated from Eastern Washington University. Through these years passionately pursuing her love of education and healthcare, she met her late husband Ken Wordelman at Grace Baptist Church. Carol went on to thrive in her career at the hospital where she was born; she became head nurse of the Physical Rehabilitation center at Deaconess.
Carol loved going to barn dances where she square-danced with her friends, her husband Ken, and sister Bev. She loved listening to music, camping, and western movies.
Carol passed away at age 86 on Wednesday June 17th 2021, and is survived by 6 children; Sherry Cressey, Susan Plank, Merrie Farley, Tracy Wordelman Tisdale, Tamara Riggs, and Mike Wordelman. She also has 15 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
The service will be held Saturday, September 4th at 1pm at Fairmont cemetery chapel.
