Kay was born and raised in Mandan, North Dakota. Kay moved to Spokane in 1970 where she married Marvin E. Petersen of 43 years.
Kay retired from the Ridpath Hotel as a banquet waitress. She was always generous with her passion, which was baking. Spokane Valley was quite familiar with trying her “Peanut Butter Balls”. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, and feeding the birds on her patio, as well as spending time with family and friends. Kay was a very strong-willed and determined lady of life.
Kay is survived by her husband, Marvin; seven children; fifteen grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Kay’s Life will be held on Saturday, November 30th, at 10:00am, in the Colonial Chapel at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N. Pines Road, Spokane Valley, WA 99206.
“God bless you, Mom”.
