Darlene Mae Cooper

Darlene passed away March 16, 2021 after a hard fought battle with multiple challenges. Due to Covid she was not able to have family by her side. She was born April 29, 1951 at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane to John and Helen Thomas. Helen married Charlie Allen, a very supportive step-father, in 1973 after her father had passed in 1968. Rod and Darlene were married for 50 years and had two wonderful children, Tawyna (Floyd) and David. She was blessed with two grandchildren, Haylie and Lexi, whom she loved and supported in all their activities. She had seven siblings, John, (Ron, Dickie, and Janet deceased), Donna, Bill, and Karen. She also had numerous nephews and nieces, whom she loved very much. Darlene was the sweetest, hardworking cosmetologist and she loved and was loved by her many clients for 50 years. She had her own business in Millwood and took pride in all she did. Darlene was always active in snowmobiling, and other activities at the family cabin. My sweetheart always made me feel loved and that I was the only one for her. She was also a good Christian with a positive, fun attitude toward life and family. Sunshine provided a wonderful nurse, Leslie, who worked with Darlene for two years. Services will be held Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Millwood Presbyterian Church, 3223 N. Marguerite Rd., Millwood, WA 99212. Celebration of Life to follow at The Max on Sullivan.
