David Richard Bosse

David R. Bossé (Age 77) Passed away July 2, 2013 in Coeur ‘d Alene, ID. He was born January 12, 1936 in Walla Walla, WA to Bernard and Margaret Tufts Bosse. He is survived by his wife Dorothy of 54 years; sons, Robert Bosse (Laura), and Bill Bosse both of Spokane, WA; daughter, Elizabeth Bosse Hunter (John Skommesa) of Bothell, WA; sister, Marge Marshall of Walla Walla; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Dave met his future wife Dorothy in the strawberry fields in Walla Walla, WA. Years went by and they saw each other off and on. Dorothy was a friend of Dave’s sister Marge and they would talk when Dave was home from Washington State College. Dave graduated College in 1958 and then Dave and Dorothy May Dippel married on January 3, 1959. Their first child, Robert was born in September 1959, followed by William “Bill” in September 1962, and finally Elizabeth was born in May 1966.

Dave started active duty in the US Air Force on his 23rd birthday, January 12, 1959. He served as an Electronics Warfare Officer and later worked in Intelligence. Dave retired as a major on September 30, 1979. Dave started working for the City of Spokane shortly after his Air Force Retirement, serving as a senior buyer.

Dave is a Past Exhalted Ruler of the Spokane Elks.

There will be a Visitation on Monday, July 8, 2013 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 10:00am at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 1:30pm at the WA State Veteran’s cemetery.
