Delbert "Duke" Koberstine, 89, passed away peacefully at his daughter's home on March 12, 2025, in Spokane, Washington. He was born on May 1, 1935, to John "Hank" Henry and Hazel Koberstine in Spokane, Washington. On August 11, 1963, he married his love, Viola Kovaloff, in Spokane, Washington. Duke loved time with his family, farming, restoring tractors and one VW bug with his grandson, gardening, and conversations with his many friends, neighbors and loved ones. Survivors include his wife, Viola Koberstine; his son, Raymond Koberstine; his daughter, Lori Hermanson; five grandchildren, Kyle, Makenna (Katie), Garrett, Alex, and Matt; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Johnny Lee and Phillip Ray; and his sister, Barbara Jean Clouse. A life celebration will be held on Thursday, March 27, at 3:30pm, at Spokane Linwood SDA Church. Memorial donations can be made to Palisades Christian Academy.
