Don,

Although you have been apart of our family for awhile now, I feel that I have only truly gotten to really know you over the past few years. It is my belief that every single person, no matter where we come from or our background, hold a representation of our Lord, Jesus. And I believe that the reflections you represented were how you always kept your door open for anyone. You were hospitable with your home without questioning those in need. You always put others above yourself, whether it was concern for my mother or helping my sister when she needed to move. Don you were a second Father for me. One that I could have never expected. And I don’t think anyone will ever realize how great having two Dad’s can be better than one. Thank you for always being a phone call away. I will forever cherish the three-way phone conversations that my Dad, you and I shared in the morning on my way to work. I will also always be forever grateful for you excepting myself, my brother, my sisters and even my Dad as part of your family. Thank you for giving us Darryl as a brother.

Priscilla - I look forward to having a caramel frappe with you soon:)

My favorite memories of Don were helping him with anything he needed from handy man stuff to yard work and getting to spend time listening to his stories then trying to run away without him paying me . I wish so much that I hadn't waited too long to ask him to teach me how to work on clocks. I am very happy to have known him all these years being one of his neighbors and proud to call him and his part of my family.

My heartfelt condolences to Sherry and family! It was such a pleasure to have known Don and cut his hair for all the years I did! I always enjoyed him so much. I will miss seeing him always with his coffee cup and a smile on his face. Love, Ginger

Don,
You have been such a great person to us, Timothy thought you were pretty cool when you took the time to talk to him and show him all your cool classic toy cars. He still has the ones you gave him displayed in his room. (Everywhere we go and he finds an old car he makes sure to collect them now) He liked when you would call and listen to him talk about all the old cars he found garage sailing that day. And Nevaeh said she will always remember how you taught her about antique dolls and how you told her the uglier they are the more rare they are. Victor and I will always remember all your wonderful stories you would tell us of when you worked and the rail link, and all the fun we had garage sailing with you. We will forever cherish these memories until we all meet again.

I have so many fun memories of you Don, sitting at Riverfront Park to watch fireworks with all of the "interesting people " sitting around us. Or going to Wolf Creek Lodge, and having Winston cry, and cry. Then that kind waitress came and took him and carried him around and entertained him so we could enjoy our dinner. I think the thing that I'll always remember the most, and will always love you for is for loving my mom unconditionally and caring for her through some very hard times. You will be greatly missed, but I know we'll see each other again.

My favorite memory is when me and my dad went fishing on medical lake. He was teaching me how to fish and where the fish would most likely be. He said let’s go fishing by the shore near this tree where it’s cooler. Nowadays I would agree with him, but when I was 9 years old absolutely not. I said let’s go fishing in the middle of the lake that’s where the fish are so he decided to entertain the idea and five minutes later I got a snag. The fish started going underneath the boat and he gave me tips for bringing him in. It was a 32 inch trout I’ll never forget that day. I’ll forever miss eating slim Jim’s with you and talking to you when I’m upset. You made me want to be a dad because you were so great. Now I’m a dad and I’m still your little buddy, but now I have my own. I love you so much dad and someday I will see you again because your in heaven. Baby Wilson loves you too.
