Dorothy Hoyt entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, April 18, 2017. She was born to Howard and Violet (Olson) Cox in Spokane, WA and lived in Spokane County her entire life. Dorothy was a member of the Green Acres Christian Fellowship for over 60 years and was active with her husband in union local 690. She is survived by 2 daughters, Darlene (Richard) Haynes of Santa, ID and Vivian (Allan) Hayes of Puyallup, WA; 3 sons, Delbert (Kathy), Gary (Sarah) and Michael Hoyt all of Spokane Valley, WA. Sister in law, Joan Cox and many nieces and nephews including great and great great nieces and nephews. Twelve grandchildren, Kim (Richard) Thomas, Jerry (Dawn) Sampson, Lauri (Jaysen) Short, Brenda (Bud) Steinebach, Tara (Lucky) Ludtke, Kris (Veronica) Hoyt, Kelly (Deidre) Hoyt, Rob Hayes, Debbie (Dave) Orona, Bryan (Korie) Hayes, Andrea (Joe) Corder and Josh (Aimee) Hoyt. 24 great grandchildren, Sam, Tracy (B.J.), Ashley, Bryant (Alicia), Andy (Beverly), Tad, Nick, Keith, Tanner, Cole (Stephanie), Kaylynn, David Matthew, Tristan, Halle, Rien, Payson, RJ, Christian, Morgan, Kaitlyn, Elizabeth, Bethany, Jaxton and ada. 7 great great grandchildren, Jada, Molly, Jaysen, Bentlee, Dayton, Anabelle and Olivia. Dorothy was chosen as a grandmother by many others that may not have been directly related to her. She was preceded by her husband of 60 years, Frank Hoyt in 2002; brother, John Cox; brother and sister in law, Bud and Delcia Cox. A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held on Friday April 28, 2017, 12 noon at Spokane Valley Church of the Nazarene, 15515 E 20th Ave, Spokane Valley WA 99037 and she will be laid to rest at Pines Cemetery.
