Douglas John Lightfoot

February 13, 1973- September 23, 2020

On Wednesday, September 23, 2020, Douglas John Lightfoot passed away with his loving wife, Nicole, by his side. Doug was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Doug was born on February 13, 1973 in Superior, Montana to parents Pennie and John “Bob” Lightfoot. Doug’s family later moved to the Picnic Pines area of Medical Lake in Washington, where he lived until his late 20’s.

Doug displayed an unequivocal love for his daughter Emily- who he described as his whole heart and soul. Aside from his passion in being the best family man possible, Doug was a great friend to many and an enthusiastic outdoorsman. He struck a balance of creating a legacy for his family through hard work and humility, while also being funny and charming to those he encountered.

Doug is survived by his wife Nicole, his daughter Emily, his sisters Pam and Sandra, and his brothers Floyd, Robert, and Michael.

The family would like to thank those who supported Doug during his time of need. It has not gone unnoticed and has filled their hearts with gratitude.

A celebration of his life will be held September 24th from 2PM to 5PM at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home, 5100 W. Wellesley Ave., Spokane, WA, 99205. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Doug’s legacy.
