

Eloise M. Meineke, age 90, entered into rest October 20, 2011. She was born on December 4, 1920, in Ritzville, WA. She was the daughter of Henry and Zola Weber. Her parents and two sisters, Violet and Jeanette, later moved to Spokane. Eloise attended West Valley High School and graduated from North Central High School. She married Manny Meineke on June 17, 1939, and they celebrated their 50th anniversary at the Eagles Lodge. Manny passed away on December 24, 1996. Eloise was a sales associate at Newberry’s downtown and also at Macys, formerly the Bon Marche, where she worked in the hosiery department. She enjoyed bowling, traveling when she and Manny were both retired, gambling, coffee hours once a week with the neighbors, volunteering at Deaconess Hospital in the surgery waiting area, and watching the Mariners baseball on television.
Eloise is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Jones of Spokane, WA; son, Danny and daughter in law, Sandra of Katy, TX; granddaughters, Michelle Jones of Spokane, WA, Stacey Meineke of Los Angeles, CA, Lori Meineke of Katy, TX; great grandson, Jacob Caruso of Spokane, WA; sister, Jeanette Parker of Boise, ID; niece, Sandie Sadler and her family of Spokane; nephew, Daren Parker and his family of Apache Junction, AZ; and niece, Diana Branch of Boise, ID.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at 2:00pm, at the Alwin Chapel at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home 1306 N. Monroe, Spokane, WA.
