Elwyn Gustav Johnson

Johnson, Elwyn G. (Age 80) of Spokane, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 3, 2013 in his home. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Johnson, children; Chris (Liz) Johnson, Curt (Kristen) Johnson, Craig Johnson, Lynn Shaw, Greg (Julie) Schlepp, Denise Schlepp, Denette (Dan) Witkowski and five grandchildren all from Spokane. After serving in the Military, Elwyn worked for 26 years at Baldwin Sign as an electrician and had a love for golfing and skiing. Whether strumming on his banjo or sitting out on the porch on a warm summer morning, Elwyn enjoyed life to the fullest and loved his family with all his heart. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie 2 and a lifetime member of the VFW 1474. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 7th from 2pm until 8pm at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home. He will be entombed privately at Fairmount Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, March 16th at 1pm at the Eagles Lodge: 6410 N. Lidgerwood St., WA, 99208. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Spokane, P.O. Box 2215, Spokane, WA 99210-2215 or the Spokane Humaine Society, 6607 N. Havana, Spokane, WA 99217.
