Ernest Ray Lampley

Ray was born in Wichita, Kansas on February 14, 1944. He was the oldest of three younger brothers; Ray, Wendell, and Russell.

Ray entered the United States Marine Corps on October 16th, 1961, at the age of 16. He served his country for two terms in the Vietnam War era. During his military career Ray was stationed at Camp LeJuene, NC, as well as time spent aboard the USS Francis Marion. After an honorable discharge from the USMC he went on to build a successful career with the Teamsters Local 690 working as a truck driver for the Canteen Company, Pepsi Cola, and various long-haul trucking endeavors.

Ray was preceded in death by his wife Bertha Covington-Lampley, his parents Wanda Lee Smith and Earnest L Lampley, and his brother Wendell Lampley.

Ray is survived by his step daughters Lisa Russell (Floyd) and Leslie Arnoux (Terry), granddaughter Angela Arnoux-Cutler (Thomas), his son Ron Easter and family, brothers Ray Lampley (Agna) and Russell Lampley (Karen), and many nieces and nephews.

Ray enjoyed visiting with family and friends; his life stories will be missed.

Services for Ray will be held September 18th, 1:00pm at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA
